It’s Football and Tailgating Season! Everyone loves having a crowd over to watch the game. Hanging out in the parking lot grilling out with a group of fans is great fun! Inside Out Buffalo Wings will be not only an original dish but also the best, most tender wings you have ever made!
I love chicken wings! Hot, spicy, buffalo, bbq, teriyaki… you name I will eat it! You might be asking yourself, just what does Inside Out Buffalo Chicken Wings even mean?
Well, I’ll tell you. It’s a reverse of where the flavor lies. Ranch chicken wings dipped in buffalo sauce. Inside Out!
These are also lighter in calories and fat than the classic buffalo wing. The use of greek yogurt keeps these wings light and fresh.
Using plastic zip lock bags keeps the mess down to a minimum. It’s fun to shake all the seasonings around get the ranch yogurt sauce completely coated. This recipe is so simple, and you will be the star of the football or tailgating party!
If you will make this for your big tailgating party, make sure to bake the wings in the oven and then finish them off on the grill once you are at the game. You can do this method for your party also.
Pre Baking them will cut down on your grilling time, as you will just be reheating and getting some char on them. Plus, you get to eat them sooner!! What is your favorite Tailgating/Football Party Food?

Inside Out Buffalo Wings
Ingredients
- 1 family pack of fresh chicken wings
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp of each pepper and garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper powder
- 1 package ranch dressing mix
- 1 8oz carton of plain greek yogurt
Instructions
- cut the tips off the wings and separate at the “knuckle joint” with kitchen scissors
- in a ziplock gallon baggy place all the seasons {not the ranch dressing mix}
- put in the chicken wings and shake to coat
- in a mixing bowl, combine greek yogurt and the ranch dressing mix
- pour into the bag and “smoosh” around to coat {make sure it’s zip closed}
- place in fridge and let marinade for 1-3 hours
- preheat oven to 375
- place wings on a foil-lined baking sheet {toss remaining marinade}
- bake for 30 min
- either finish off on a grill for 3-5 min each side or continue to bake for 5-7 min
- serve with hot wing sauce to dip into
