Here is another Pumpkin Treat for you all! As Halloween is quickly approaching and we all move into Christmas and Holiday Mode my beloved Pumpkin will slowly fade off and wait until Fall comes around again next year. So I have to get all my pumpkin cravings in really quickly before I move on to Peppermint.
This bread that I made for you is not only delicious and beautiful it is amazingly easy! You can make this for a Brunch, Breakfast, or a snack anytime this Autumn. A perfect quick treat for Thanksgiving Morning.
I love nuts! Walnuts, Pecans, Almonds, Cashews, Macadamia, you name it. If it is a nut I love it! They crunch the flavor and the healthiness of them. They just make me happy.
I wonder if the walnuts are still healthy after I doused them in corn syrup and brown sugar?

What makes this bread so easy to whip up is that you start with a box of Pillsbury Quick Pumpkin Bread Mix. I have made this bread in the past just as the directions on the box call for, it was good. This time I jazzed it up a bit and it went from good to great!!!

I added some pumpkin puree and the chopped walnuts along with the candied walnuts on top. In an hour you have a really impressive and delicious loaf of bread.

Ingredients
- 1 box Pillsbury Quick Pumpkin Bread Mix
- 1 egg
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup walnuts plus 1/2 cup
- 2 tbs light corn syrup
- 1/8 cup brown sugar {not packed}
Instructions
- preheat oven to 350
- chop the 1/2 cup walnuts and set aside
- in a saute pan over medium heat toast the 1 cup walnuts for approx 2 min
- reduce to medium low
- add the corn syrup and brown sugar
- cook till all is melted and the walnuts are fully coated
- remove from heat and set aside
- in a mixing bowl combine the bread mix, the egg, and water
- blend until a dough forms
- fold in the chopped walnuts
- grease a loaf pan with butter or non stick spray {I always use butter}
- spoon dough into loaf pan and smooth top
- sprinkle the candied walnuts on top
- bake for 45-55 min or until a toothpick comes out clean when placed in the middle
- cool completely
- Slice and Enjoy!
