I don’t even know if I have the words to describe just how fantastic these meatballs are. As I was mixing up the sauce, I was thinking, ‘oh my gosh I can’t wait to try these!’ When it was time to come out of the slow cooker and taste. Mind and taste buds were blown! Seriously. Best. Meatball. Appetizer. Ever Spicy, sweet, tangy, perfect. Spicy Asian Meatballs HAVE to make it on your menu for the Super Bowl. Whether you are hosting or attending a party, you need to make these. You won’t be sorry.
You control the heat by adding or subtracting the Sriracha Sauce. I went a little heavy-handed and used three tablespoons. When I make these again for the Super Bowl party, we throw them every year, and I will only use two tablespoons. The spice was a little intense at the 3. But if that’s what you like, I say go for it! Even though the word BBQ is in the name, there is no BBQ sauce in the recipe. Make sure that you use hoisin sauce. This will help give it its distinct Asian flavor. Oh, and hoisin is Asian BBQ sauce anyway. It is one of my pantry staples, and I use it in almost any Asian recipe.
No Football Party is complete without a Crock-Pot full of tasty warm meatballs. It would be best if you had these Spicy Asian BBQ Meatballs at your next gathering. What is your favorite Game Day appetizer? It’s so fun to know what you like! It helps me create more recipes that will make you drool.
